August Gigs
I am playing in a variety of configurations and events in August. A few of them will be exclusively in the North Country of Vermont - Barton, Waterville, and Stowe!
The first is the Orleans County Fair on August 14 from 4-6 in the afternoon; the second is the Celebrate Vermont Festival where the Folk Rock Project plays 2 sets at 1:00 and 3:00. These two performances will feature Rudy Dauth from the great band the Woedoggies - on mandolin and bass; and Jay Ekis (from many bands in Central VT) on the electric lead guitar. Jeremy Kendall will play the Celebrate VT gig as well.
The third gig is the intimate North Branch Concert Series outside the Town Hall in my former home of Waterville. Rudy Dauth often sits in with the artists - and after our 2 previous gig he may, no doubt, sit in as well.
Last but not least is a most important event called: "A Retrospective Art Show Honoring George Lawrence: 80 Years and Still Painting." It takes place at the Vermont Law School in Oakes Hall. I will be playing my instrumental music. George is the artist who has painted many of my album covers over the years - too many to mention. It might be easier to list the CD's he hasn't painted: Gardener's Rain, A New Path, In Stillness, Vermont Resurrection. The rest are his artwork.
